National Geographic

JUNE-AUG 2022

As the graphic design intern, my role was to support the creative team through individual and collaborative work on print and digital projects that followed brand guidelines. I proposed and designed ideas from conception to completion at weekly meetings with the creative director and senior designers. This included background research for mood boards and presentations on logos, visual systems, and more.

01. PRISTINE SEAS: Protect the Wonders of the Ocean
Over the past 12 years, Pristine Seas has carried out expeditions in 35 countries, protected over 6 million square kilometers of sea, and created 26 marine reserves. Another expedition is expected to launch in 2023, and my job was to help the creative team:
1. Update the current expedition branding
2. Pitch concepts for ARGO (ship exterior)
The selected works below are the ideas and designs I specifically contributed to the team.
NOTE: these are concepts and not the final product.

03. BASE CAMP BRANDING: New Headquarters

The Nat Geo headquarters (Washington, DC) will be renovated to create a more transformative experience, bring together people, and change the world through science, exploration, education, and storytelling.
